Examines computational ways for the analysis of integrated viral sequence data, phenotopic resistance data and clinical data from HIV-infected patients. A mixture model of trees to describe probabilistically the evolution of drug resistance is introduced and a useful learning algorithm presented. A scoring function for drug combinations that includes estimating the genetic barrier of the combination therapy relative to the viral strain is developed to support therapy optimisation.
