This book promotes the sharing of ideas on many of the key issues in health facing Commonwealth countries. Contains articles that present experiences and solutions that have been applied in several Commonwealth countries. The ability of the Commonwealth to draw on its numerous strengths and character, its ability to share information and expertise and to deal with health problems in a coordinated manner that the partnership among member countries affords, has made it possible for the Commonwealth to meet the numerous challenges in health. According to this book, prevention and control of diseases requires partnerships between a large number of disciplines and sectors as the health sector alone cannot deal with all health problems.
