Examines Malawi, which has had a wide programme of macroeconomic adjustment and structural policy reforms through Structural Adjustment Programs (SAPs) supported by financial and technical assistance from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and both bilateral and multilateral donors. The study analyses the present SAPs in Malawi to gives comparative information on liberalisation efforts affecting trade and agriculture.
