Discusses the experiences of children in times of war suggesting measures that can be taken to assist them cope and recover. Using the examples of Sudan, Mozambique and Uganda, the book reviews the implications of war on children’s welfare. It presents some case studies demonstrating the psychological impact that the experiences have had on children. The consequences of these wars are explained in the descriptions of the street boys in Khartoum and Maputo.
