A case study of Nairobi City Council's decentralised syphilis screening programme in antenatal clinics
- Nairobi Population Council 2001
- vi, 32p.
Presents the findings of a study assessing the readiness and cost effectiveness of an antenatal programme aimed at decentralising syphilis screening and treatment. The report compares data collected from eleven clinics and concludes that the number of patients screened increased after the decentralisation. Other findings reported suggest that proximity to the clinic contributed to the increased number of people seeking treatment and screening. Further discussions and recommendations suggested are presented in the report.
