Various social science concerns are addressed in this book using case materials and examples in policy issues. Policy analysis is defined as a process of multi-disciplinary inquiry that creates, assesses and communicates information useful for understanding and improving policies. The book advocates for the use of various instructional and learning strategies to enable the understanding of the concepts and methods from the various disciplines. These strategies include review questions; references; the political context of analysis; and policy argumentation, public discourse and critical thinking.
