<br/><br/> Examines findings from Demographic and Health Surveys in fourteen African countries, including other studies of the attitudes of men toward the practice of family planning. Presents key findings, which reveal that the men in Africa play a significant role in making decisions associated with family planning and the family size; majority of men know of and approve of family planning and educated men are more likely to approve of family planning methods when compared to less educated men. The AIDS epidemic has played a significant role in bringing male involvement in family planning to the forefront of African policy agendas.
