"The book aims to provide content, experiential activities, strong case applications in group leadership across every chapter. Early in the text a detailed case illustration includes a solid foundation of the goals, purpose, membership, and other group dynamics. Each subsequent chapter uses different examples to bring to life the learning objectives of the chapter. These cases attempt to provide a broad spectrum of group leaders, co-leaders, and group members. The use of multiple cases affords the reader some consistency of engaging in the material while reflecting on applying specific aspects of group leadership. Additionally, the book has an entire chapter that includes a variety of creative and thoughtful case illustrations to highlight special topics centered on a myriad of multicultural considerations. These topics are based on a culmination of the authors' practical experience and are presented to illustrate the nuances associated with infusing multicultural competencies and social justice principles in group work"--
