Reducing the burden of HIV/AIDS: experiences of a food aid intervention in western Kenya - Nairobi World Food Programme 2005 - 18p.

Presents the findings of an impact study of a world food programme-supported initiative to support food insecure people affected by HIV/AIDS and complements other activities including anti-retroviral therapy, treatment of opportunistic diseases, psychosocial support and log term efforts to improve the food security of HIV affected households. Assesses the impact of the programme and draws lessons and conclusion for the expansion of the programme based on the findings of the surveys conducted.
