women abuse, a common phenomenon in Tanzania, has adverse effects on women and society as a whole. However, the practice of women abuse and its effects on women has not been critically studies in Tanzania. This paper examines the types, causes and nature of women abuse in the family and the obstacles in eradication of women abuse as a whole.
