This document is intended to support improvement of water safety within buildings: it deals with all buildings where people use or are exposed to water, with a particular focus on buildings that include public use or shared facilities.|It is one of series of supporting documents that provide guidance on implementing the WHO guidelines for drinking-water quality (GDWQ). The guidance provided in this document is based on the framework for safe drinking water from the World Health Organization, Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality.|Although the focus of the document is managing water supplies within buildings, it does not deal with the management or protection of water resources or the use of recycled water.
