Provides information on studies that were carried out so as to evaluate ultrasound as a diagnostic method for cystic echinococcus and to evaluate several treatment methods used for the disease in humans using sheep and goat models. According to the findings of the studies, ultrasonography is a suitable technique for diagnosis of cystic echinococcus in sheep and goats. Both sheep and camel stains were identified in human and animal intermediate hosts from Kenya. Suggests further study in oxfendazole therapy.
