This survey was conducted to ascertain availability of antiretroviral drugs in Kenya, the proportion of HIV infected individuals accessing them, identify challenges obstructing wider use and collect suggestions on initiatives that could be formulated into affirmative actions. In adequate information on antiretroviral among health care providers, poor capacity to monitor disease progression and side effects and insufficient financing for existing health systems were identified as other obstacles in accessing these new therapies.
