The study examines the levels of adherence to antiretroviral therapy in Botswana and identifies the factors which facilitate or constrain adherence among adults which include non acceptance to HIV status, non disclosure of HIV status and of being on ART, perceived lack of social support, stigma and treatment related costs. Recommends possible interventions to improve adherence which involves development of practical guidelines for implementing adherence management strategies.
