Examines the response to the decision by foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to set up an Ad Hoc Panel of Economists from Non-Aligned countries to assess the current international economic situation from the viewpoint of developing countries so as to identify and analyse major issues of concern to them and help in developing a positive agenda of the South. Reveals the broad consensus among Panel members despite some Panel members being unable to be present at the meetings.
