Provides a simplified approach to treatment and use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets (ITNs), which is intended for the African region. The approach is based on a better understanding of insecticides and their interaction with netting materials. Describes two methods of treating mosquito nets, which are home treatment and mass treatment of nets in dipping centres and by mobile teams who are visiting communities.
