The Commission on Health Research for Development, which aims to improve the health of people in developing countries, brought together health and development experts to examine the status of research on the health challenges facing the people in the developing world. Presents a report on research challenges such as diseases, threats and the changing patterns of illnesses, including the requirements of an emerging research system to manage these. The Commission's report gives suggestions to assist developing countries to come up with effective ways of dealing with unsolved health problems.
