Examines techniques that have been used in Thailand to help young girls avoid contracting HIV/AIDS. The report is based on a case study of the young girls who are involved in the Thai sex industry. It analyses their attitudes towards prostitution by addressing the various reasons for joining the industry and alternative courses they could have taken. Several approaches aimed at preventing their entry into the industry are discussed and the activities involved in their execution explained. Some projects that are in place are discussed and their impact examined.
