The discussions are based on reviews of literature from previous experiences and maternal and child health care services. It explains the methods and strategies used, where they succeeded or failed, and compares different experiences. In assessing the experiences, the study focused on the type of costing which was predictive costing, actual costing or cost-effective costing. It suggests that the type of costing influences the success or failure of an intervention.
