Analyses the impact of UN’s efforts towards people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. A historical perspective of the AIDS situation is presented explaining the stigmatisation that people affected or infected by AIDS are faced with. It examines the policies and strategies that affect AIDS victims and sufferers revealing that although they are affected directly they do not participate in their formulation. The discussions and case studies presented in the report all support the involvement of people living with HIV/AIDS in initiatives that impact on their lives in one way or another.
