Presents guidelines for management of change in medical education which include development steps, implementation procedures and ways of adopting in the case of late implementation. Each step has an objective which can be obtained by following suggested procedures and incorporating given activities. Ways of monitoring and evaluating the progress of the implementation are suggested including advice on how to develop the tasks and the signs to look out for. Areas for future action in research and improvement of relevance and efficiency in medical education are suggested.
