Presents the proceedings of the convention on the national health research plan that took place in Kenya. Following widespread consultations, a research plan has come up, which is intended to form the basis of research activities in Kenya. This plan is to assist Kenyans to focus on their personal needs and the various opportunities available to them, including the collaborators and donors interested in the programme. Issues such as the status of health research in Kenya and utilisation of research results in Kenya are discussed.
