Presents documents as part of a series developed in 1994 by the Global Programme on AIDS of the World Health Organization to offer assistance to national AIDS programmes in their own evaluation. The series intends to provide the national AIDS programme manager and the team supporting the manager with information on the most significant problems and steps in the design, analysis and interpretation of surveys for the measurement of basic and important indicators of the programme's progress. This series provides various methods to measure HIV/AIDS prevention-related indicators, and it is a response to the need to use standardised approaches when evaluating AIDS programmes.
