Presents information on rural drug vendors (RDVs) in Eritrea who act as providers of drugs and primary health care services, especially in areas that have limited access to formal health facilities. This information that is based on an investigative study, describes the practices of RDVs in Eritrea, that is, how they dispense drugs and manage certain childhood illnesses. Results from the study were used to develop strategies for improving the practices of RDVs in Eritrea.
