Presents a report on poverty in Kenya, which was presented by the Central Bureau of Statistics and The Human Resources and Social Services Department. This is based on Welfare Monitoring Survey (WMS II) data and aims at providing detailed information on the different faces of poverty in Kenya. An analysis is carried out that compares social indicators for poor and non-poor, male and female, and across socio-economic groups. Geographically, it presents breakdowns for regions, that is, rural and urban, provinces, and districts.
