Presents a manual on home-based care that is divided into six modules covering an introduction to home-based care, nursing and clinical care, counseling and psycho-spiritual care, palliative care and training skills. It is intended to be a reference guide for home-based care providers and their trainers. The need to take an approach to care and support provision that embraces not only those affected by HIV/AIDS, but those with other chronic, disabling and often life threatening diseases such as cancer and diabetes, has been recognised.
