Argues that the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among gay men and intravenous drug users can be explained on the basis of social conditions and that in the view of this people, people from these communities who have HIV/AIDS ought to be compensated. Looks at whether or not the behavior of gay men and drug users at higher risk of infection was performed autonomously and evaluates AIDS social policy to see if it respects social autonomy.
