Presents information on the measurement of reflective sociomoral thought, which is a form of social intelligence. Examines information related to research method in moral development, including the Sociomoral Reflection Measure (SRM), which is a production-task measure of moral reasoning whereby subjects must express their thinking with respect to moral dilemmas and associated normative values. The criteria used by the scorer in making development assessments of responses given by subjects on the SRM questionnaire is presented.
