With focus on organisational change the book describes the National Dairy Development Project illustrating how technology packages can be developed and transferred where they are most applicable. The project?s history and target group are described along with the institutional environment for which it was intended. Among the issues addressed in the book are integration of gender issues, research-extension linkages, monitoring and evaluation. In addressing each of these the beginning of the change process, activities undertaken to introduce the new approach and eventual results are discussed in detail. Case studies, examples and summaries indicating conditions that facilitated change and the lessons learnt are all provided in the text.
