This programme is on female circumcision, which documents the success story of a village in Tharaka Nithi District of Kenya. A group of women were determined to ensure that their daughters do not go thorough the processes of Female Genital Mutilation. However, also acknowledging the importance of the circumcision ceremonies within their ethnic group, the women came up with a brilliant alternative ritual and sold it to an otherwise conservative village.
