Discusses different forms of disability and how disabled persons function in society despite the social and physical obstacles in the environment. The book analyses the meaning of being disabled and clarifies elements in reaching an agreeable definition. It explores the effects of different interpretations of disability on development of caring interventions and support systems for the disabled.
