The papers consider the ways in which gender issues are being introduced in premedical training and related health courses. They also explore innovations in medical education to enhance the quality of medical practice through the use of gender issues perspectives throughout the curricula. Other considerations are on the inclusion of gender from the respective points of view of primary health care trainers and researchers. The book suggests that health care policies and medical education have not taken into consideration the growing awareness of sex and gender differences. |
