Discusses the state of the art of drug supply systems that is based on ration kits. Packing drugs in sealed ration kits is a method that has been used to try and improve the drug supply to rural facilities. An objective of this system is to supply precisely those drugs that are required in appropriate quantities so as to avoid shortages and waste. The intention of this study is to reveal problems that are frequently experienced and to assess the experience with several solutions, which will lead to some practical suggestions.
